Pilates in Macclesfield

Pilates is an exercise system designed by Joseph Pilates to elongate, strengthen and restore balance to the body. It involves much more than just building a 'strong core' or 'perfect posture'. Regardless of age, ability or fitness level, Pilates is beneficial for everyone.

Love to Run?

Runners love to run, and often that’s all they want to do! We are often asked “Isn’t running enough?” Sadly, it's not. Runners are a frequently injured group with the injury rate between 50-85% when running >20 miles/week. Here’s the good news though: There is something you can do about it!
1. Movement screening, including running gait video analysis to identify any biomechanical inefficiencies.
2. Run specific strength and conditioning Even strength training twice a week can reduce the incidence of overuse injuries by up to 50% (Lauerson 2014)
