Pilates Classes - Restore Balance to the Body
Pilates is an exercise system which was designed by Joseph Pilates to elevate, strengthen and restore balance to the body. It is commonly believed to be an exercise system that can be useful to help build a 'strong core' or aid 'perfect posture', but it is so much more than that. It is a good general exercise that is challenging but safe for everyone. As Joseph Pilates said himself "In 10 sessions you feel better, 20 sessions you look better, 30 sessions you have a completely new body".
As a Macclesfield Clinic, we believe that offering Pilates makes sense as it fits right in with our aim to help people get stronger, fitter and more confident in their movements. Pilates can help individuals to develop proper breathing techniques as well as balance and flexibility in a way that emphasises the connection between mental and physical health. Pilates classes are performed in a flow of movement which aids strength and flexibility in the body as a whole.
We offer Pilates classes every day from Monday to Friday, both daytime and evening, and they are all floor/mat based classes. We keep the class sizes under 8 in order to be able to give people a more one to one type session. For each Pilates exercise, there are 3 or 4 levels of difficulty and the fact that the instructor can focus on each person individually in a smaller class size, means that the exercise can be tailored to you.
As our classes are so popular, we ask you to pay up front. You can pay online, or when you attend the studio, you can pay with card or cash. Our pricing structure is six sessions for £60 - if you bring a friend along we offer you a discounted rate of £105 for the two of you. Of course, we also offer you a one-off taster session to see if it is the right class for you. If you book a course of sessions and can't make one for any reason, then we will try and slot you into another session the same week if possible.
Stacey is a qualified Physiotherapist and Pilates matwork instructor and has great experience helping our clients with back pain.
Stacey’s sessions are suitable for all levels of ability including those with back or neck problems. We promise you will not bored in her classes!
In the classes you may use pilates rings, small exercise balls and resistance bands, always under her expert guidance and within every client’s capability. Remember it is not a competition!
